ADAMS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH:
Big Enough to Serve, Small Enough to Care. That is our mission statement here at AUMC. We strive to engage and connect with our community seeking to shine the loving light of Jesus Christ in whatever it is we do. We strive to be a place where all are welcomed, loved, and accepted simply as they are. This means that you, yes you, are welcome here. No matter if you’re rich or poor, tattooed up or fear needles, black or white or any other color, married or single you are welcome here. If you are a young family or have been married for longer than you can remember, you are welcome here. You are welcome here no matter if you’re weak or powerful, no matter if you believe in God some of the time or none of the time, no matter if you’re happy or sad, or if you are sick or well. You are welcome here. You are welcome here no matter your education, no matter how you dress, no matter if you’ve never been to church before. So, come! Come with your gifts, your pain, your hopes, your fears. Come with your eager or broken hearts. Come with your anxieties and your questions. Come with your experiences that have made you who you are. Come with a mind ready to seek and heart open to be filled with the amazing and holy love of God. Come and listen to the Holy Spirit that calls you…yes you…God’s beloved and holy child. Come and worship with us. Come and serve with us. Come and see God in us as we see God in you. You are welcome here!
